ACS-7 : ULTRAFILTRATION CARTRIDGES
Water ultrafiltration (UF) is a filtration process that uses standard home water pressure to push water through its semi-permeable membrane. Ultrafiltration (UF) removes viruses, bacteria, as well as suspended particles from your drinking water. Particles and materials of high molecular weight are unable to pass through the 0.01-micron UF membrane so that only fresh water and dissolved minerals get through. The UF membrane also has a chemical resistance to oxidants and chlorine. Ultrafiltration (UF) uses a porous membrane to remove bacteria and viruses while retaining minerals. A UF system is a waste-free alternative to reverse osmosis , leads to quicker and more efficient delivery of clean water. Moreover hollow fiber UF membranes leave beneficial minerals intact. ACS-7 membranes are designed for cold potable water filtration.
Benefits of Ultrafiltration
An ultrafiltration water system keeps good minerals in your water without producing waste water. Ultrafiltration treatment runs at low water pressure, does not require a separate water holding tank, does not alter the pH of your water, and does not require electricity. The UF membrane is stable at a wide range pH levels. Historically, ultrafiltration has been used in large municipal water treatment plants and hospitals; however, thanks to technological advances you can now install a powerful under sink water filtration system in your home.
MEMBRANE FILTRATION STAGES
Since the filtration flow in our UF hollow fiber path is outside-to-inside, the contaminants from the feed will accumulate on the outside of the fibers, much like a cartridge filter that is familiar to all water purification. The purified water will flow through the center of the hollow fiber to be collected at the top of each hollow fiber tube. The TLCHF/27,45 filtration flow are inside-out.
